Eclipse Technics first company to secure an IAMA STC endorsement

Paris, France – 14 June 2022

Eclipse Global Connectivity’s Design and Production (DOA/POA) division, Eclipse Technics, received the first IAMA-endorsed Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). Having completed an IAMA mandated audit earlier this year, the founding member of the alliance is now authorized to display an IAMA endorsement label on their aircraft modifications.

IAMA, the Independent Aircraft Modifier Alliance, launched its audit program in January of this year. The organization’s primary goal is to ensure that independent aircraft retrofit members modifying aircraft through STC projects sustain a top-notch standard. The first IAMA-endorsed STC is an important milestone for the alliance and the aircraft retrofit market overall.

“As a founding member of the alliance, we at Eclipse Technics continuously strive to deliver the best STC solutions to our customers,” said Marc Pinault, CEO of Eclipse Global Connectivity. “It’s the first step on the road to strengthening STC standards, and we are delighted to be the first IAMA member to achieve this important milestone. The independent recognition of our ongoing determination to understand and support our customers’ needs and our devotion to delivering quality STC services is gratifying.”

The IAMA Rulebook, first released in March 2020, defines a high-quality standard and is an indispensable resource for aircraft modifiers, airlines, and lessors.

“Our work towards this achievement spans two years, and it is encouraging to see the first IAMA-endorsed STC now available to the retrofit market,” said Nina Schulz, managing director at IAMA. “We are pleased for Eclipse Technics to attain the first endorsement and look forward to our membership demonstrating their commitment to the IAMA standard with additional STCs.
